This morning Mrs. Eliza Hartman died at her home corner of Jefferson and Water Streets of cancer. She was 57 years old and was born in Henderson County, Illinois. Her husband Samuel Hartman and son, Kirk survive her.

Lydia Wells was born in Henderson County, Illinois No 22, 1835. She was married to Samuel L. Hartman Jan 20, 1870 and died at their home in Crawfordsville Jan 21, 1892. At the age of 18 she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church being transferred to that church in Crawfordsville in 1888.

She bore her suffering through her long and severe sickness with remarkable patience and died fully trusting in the light of a Christian hope. Notice of funeral will be given in tomorrow’s paper. - kbz

The funeral of the late Mrs. Samuel Hartman will take place from the family residence tomorrow at 2 o’clock, Rev. G. W. Switzer officiating.

Lydia Wells was born in Henderson County, Ill., Nov. 22, 1835. She was married to Samuel L. Hartman, January 20, 1870, and died at their home in Crawfordsville January 21, 1892. At the age of eighteen she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church being transferred to that church in Crawfordsville in 1888. She bore her sufferings throughout her long and severe illness with remarkable patience and died fully trusting in the light of a Christian hope.
